KBR-HSE Goes to School

In KBR, there is a team called Health, Safety and Environment or HSE. HSE responsible to keep all employees for being aware about HSE issue. It can be HSE awareness in the office, at home, on the road, and every where you do your activities. Every year, HSE team propose some events that will increase our awareness about HSE.

One of the event for this year is called HSE goes to School. It is a pilot project for visiting an elementary school to give them a presentation about HSE issue. The objective is to give them an awareness about HSE issue in their daily life. Hopefully, the pupils could realize about HSE awareness since they in elementary school.

Actually, this event is successfully done on 23rd May 2006. Our target is SD Negeri Karet 01/02 Pagi. It is located on Kuningan Area, not to far from our office. Because it is a pilot project, we limits the number of pupils only for 4-6 grade. It around 80 pupils plus some teachers and parents representative were joined the event.

Our topics for this year HSE Goes to School is Safety at Home, the Road and the School. Plus two bonus topics about Drugs and Student's Fight (Tawuran Pelajar). They seemed very enthusiastic. Oya, our team is consist of Mbak Diah, Mbak Fifi, Mbak Shinta, Mbak Imung and Me.

Started with a presentation about safety from mbak Shinta...
Continued with Drugs and Fight presentation by Me and closed by Doorprize. I never realized that this kind of event could be very exciting. Well, at least we were enjoyed the event. I hope this event is useful and give the pupils a start for aware about HSE in their daily life.
